Feeling Restless? Try these grounding activities...


With so much going on in the world and with all of the information that we are receiving minute by minute in this age of technology, it's no wonder why the feeling of restlessness is so prevalent. It's hard to just relax and sometimes activities that we reach for when we feel scattered just add fuel to the fire.

 

When I'm feeling restlessness and unable to relax, it's a sign that I need more grounding.

Here are 5 GROUNDING ACTIVITIES that can really help you feel more connected, calm and peaceful.

 

  1. Walk in nature ("nature" is anywhere outside). 

  2. Take a camping chair and a blanket and sit outside with a book. 

  3. Grab some binoculars and birdwatch. 

  4. Sit by some flowing water, breathe and just listen to the sound. 

  5. Collect elements from outside, like leaves, acorns, stones and flowers and create a nature-themed centerpiece.
